Wall mount toilet troubleshooting

I have a kohler veil wall mount toilet that was installed by a prior owner. I live in Texas. During the freeze last month our water was shut off for a week due to a leak in a pipe near the kitchen. The leak has since been repaired and the water is back on. Its an old house with a mix of 1955 galvanized pipe and CPVC. When we turned the water back on we flushed most of the lines by removing the fixtures or draining the line before using the dishwasher, washing machine, etc. We did not drain the line for the toilet because the tank is within the wall and honestly, I could not figure out how to drain it because the information kohler has on their website sucks. Now it takes almost a day for the tank to have enough water to flush. I suspect there is rust/sediment clogging it. I have tried troubleshooting on my own, I have called kohler and they said they would send me a video but instead they sent written instructions which I tried but have not had any success. What I cannot figure out is why when I disconnect the what I think is the fill valve and turn the water back on no water comes out. Is anyone familiar with wall mount toilets that might be able to help? I asked the plumber and he wanted nothing to do with it and acted like he has never see a wall mount toilet before (I realize they are not super popular in America). submitted by /u/SpottedPeat [link] [comments]
