Portable generator and natural gas?

I am planning to equip my home with a generator and wanted some input on feasibility of what I am trying to do. Instead of a big, permanent, immovable whole house generator I want to get a portable one that will run off of NG. I am planning to install an interlock system and was hoping it is possible to plump a quick disconnect style line that I can connect the generator to when needed. Is this possible? Is this legal? Thing is I dont really have room to put a whole house gen plus they are spendy so storing it in the garage until it is needed is more appealing. And being able to run it off of NG would be awesome. submitted by /u/luvv2ride [link] [comments]
