Lengthy Sump Pump Drain?

Hi Plumbers! I’m a layman and am just trying to figure out how to best get water away from my house. I have a sump pump that currently expels water about 15’ from my house but was hoping to dig a trench and extend it about 100’ from my house into a nearby creek. My plan is to have a check valve as close to the house as possible (builder didn’t put one in unfortunately) and mesh at the end of the line but I am concerned about the length being too powerful for the pump. I was thinking maybe once it gets out of the house to expand the 1-1/2” pipe to 2” or 3” then just have it drain via gravity - would this be a good plan? I’m open to any and all ideas! Thanks! submitted by /u/Musabi [link] [comments]
