Is it the kitchen drain that needs to be cleaned or the vent on the roof?

I have a kitchen drain that was not draining at all months ago - since then I had had a plumber come out twice already and he snaked it to 50 and 75 feet, respectively. Additionally, the first time he was there he changed the configuration of the plumbing underneath the sink - there was 2 P-Traps and he modified it so there was 1 P-Trap. There was a lot of grease. There was improvements but my kitchen drain still is slow. I have poured a lot of drain clearing chemicals down the drain - still slow. The plumber never went up on the roof to inspect if the vent needed to be cleaned. All other skins around the house function normally - no backups. Is it the kitchen drain that needs to be re-snaked further or hydrojetted? Or is it the vent on the roof that needs to be cleaned? I don’t want to call another plumber and not see results… submitted by /u/galaxyofcoffee [link] [comments]
