Grooming tub install (will this work?)

Hey everyone! Was hoping to get some opinions on a project the wife and I are working on. Disclaimer: we are not plumbers. I have replaced a toilet, sink p-traps and a garbage disposal before but am by no means an expert. We are installing a dog grooming tub in our garage. We have the washing machines hook up on one wall and the wall to the right of that is where the tub will go. Garage is on a slab so we cannot access drain pipes, and that would be expensive to do professionally. Also, the tub sits on a pallet and is around 12” off the ground. The plan for water to the tub: -Connect two Y-splitters to washing machines hookup. (Are there food grade splitters? Don’t want dogs drinking bad water…) -Run two hoses to the tubs from those Y splitters to the tubs faucet. The plan for drainage from the tub: -connect an adapter to the p-trap to a house and run to a flat 5 gallon container like this. -take 5 gallon flat container and filter hair out with a strainer of some sort and empty dirty water in bathtub in bathroom. It looks straight forward to me, but not sure if that’s even smart/possible. Also trying to finger out the p-trap to garden hose adapter. I appreciate anyone who reads this/has opinions. Thanks! submitted by /u/zxzxzxzxyyyy [link] [comments]

Thanks!
