Burying Sharkbite fittings

My neighbor hired a random handyman to fix a leak at his water main. The guy ended up cracking our line with his shovel, couldn't fix it and hired a real plumber to come out. They swapped it all out with sharkbite connections and pipe. They left it uncovered..so asked if they were wrapping the brass connectors before burying, but the owner said in 15 years he has never wrapped them. Is it ok, or should they get the silicone wrap? submitted by /u/Jtest101 [link] [comments]
