Boiler pressure keeps dropping (UK)

Hi, I’ve got an issue with my combi boiler, whereby it‘s losing pressure too rapidly. My heating engineer advised that the boiler is a bit low powered for the house (we’ve had a loft conversion and an extension since it was installed). He suggested that either the expansion vessel was too small and kept reaching capacity then overflowing via the outlet, or there might be a leak. After monitoring the pressure over a few weeks, the pressure did appear to be getting quite high, then dropping to almost zero, so I thought he was probably right about the expansion vessel and asked him to replace it with a larger one. Problem seemed to be solved at first, but when I checked the boiler after approx 1 month, I found the pressure on zero..!
