At a loss with my garbage disposal

A couple of weeks ago my insinkerator stopped working while I was running it. No signs of a foreign object or anything blocking the blades but I scrubbed the blades with a toothbrush. I tried resetting and also unplugging the disposal multiple times thinking maybe it overheated but it still would not work. Then, I used baking soda and vinegar in the drain. Multiple rounds. I washed it down with boiling water. This did not work so I plunged the drain. Still, the disposal would not turn on. I ran the dishwasher thinking it might help a clog move through. It did not. So, I took the disposal apart and washed it out. This is not the first time I’ve taken a disposal apart so I knew generally what to do. I found no signs of a blockage at all. When I reattached everything the disposal still wouldn’t work. The reason I haven’t completely given up is the disposal is humming, the blades just won’t spin. But I cannot for the life of me find anything stuck in the blades preventing them from spinning. Is there anything else I haven’t tried? I rent and my landlords are not the most pleasant people. If the disposal needs to be replaced they are going to blow a gasket. Really hoping I can fix this myself. submitted by /u/RandomAccessMelodies [link] [comments]
